About the Examination
The Royal Aptitude Olympiad (RAO) is designed to help students assess their reasoning and aptitude skills. This exam is an annual event that evaluates students' abilities in various areas such as analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, numerical aptitude, spatial reasoning, and verbal reasoning.
The exam is based on the curriculum provided by CBSE, ICSE, and State Boards. Apart from the curriculum, the RAO exam also includes applied reasoning questions that test students' problem-solving abilities. By taking this exam, students can discover their strengths and weaknesses in different reasoning and aptitude domains.
This Olympiad is crucial for students in every grade as it allows them to identify their true potential, assisting them in selecting a career path that is best suited to their abilities. By strengthening their positive attributes and working on their negative ones, students can achieve their full potential and reach their goals.
The RAO exam is available to students in grades 3 through 12. It encourages students to develop their reasoning and aptitude abilities from an early age, which is critical for their future success. The exam helps students to hone their cognitive skills and become more confident in their abilities to solve problems.
Structure of the Olympiad
Level 1: Single Level Examination
All the students of classes 3rd to 12th are eligible to take part in Level 1 (Only). There is no Level 2.
Who Can Participate
The RAO is open to all school students from Class 3 to Class 12. Separate, age-appropriate question papers are set for each class, so every student is assessed against peers at the same level.

Structure & Marking
Objective, multiple-choice format. The Achievers Section carries higher weight to distinguish top performers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Registration is handled through the school. Once your school partners with ROF, the coordinator enrols interested students and shares exam details. Schools can register with us on the School Registration page.
No. There is no negative marking in the RAO, so students are encouraged to attempt every question.
Students need their admit card, a pen or pencil and standard geometry instruments where applicable. Calculators are not permitted.
